With help from a grant from The Mayor’s Office on Latino Affairs in the District of Columbia (MOLA), Teatro de la Luna is inviting students from Bruce Monroe Elementary School & Raymond Educational Campus to participate in free Bilingual Theater Workshops.

The Theater Workshops are scheduled over six Saturdays (April 9, 16, 23, 30, May 7 y 14, 2016) from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. When they complete the workshops, students will show what they have learned in an artistic presentation for parents, teachers and other students.

Trifilio Tango Trio, led by Argentinean composer Emmanuel Trifilio on bandoneon, presents their latest album titled Original. With Devree Lewis on cello and Ramon Gonzalez on guitar, Trifilio Tango Trio will perform Mr. Trifilio's own tango compositions from the album as well as classics from the tango repertoire.

Tickets include admission to the concert, a signed CD, and a wine reception following the performance.

Teatro de la Luna is celebrating!  We are under a New Moon, a Moon that shines like never before.  A New Moon that brings together all of our dear friends and the general public to share this new season of programming, which offers the best of Music, Song and Dance from our beloved and remembered homelands.

From the Mayans to the Incans, from the hands of those roaming Guaranies we will walk in the pleasure of the morning, in the colors of life and dreams, in the silent and controlled cry of our celebration.
