The casual meeting up of a former couple who haven’t seen each other since they broke up. This meeting -unexpectedly- leads to a reopening of a past history of wounds that remain unhealed, giving rise to questions that had seemed to have been buried, depicting a couple who still have debts to settle with each other.
A woman who waits and dreams about love, friendship, motherhood. She dreams that she is loved, that she is a friend, that she is a mother. A woman who dreams and hopes...
I COME FROM ARGENTINA... My
back-pack comes filled with
emotions, tons of dreams and so many
words... These are not the words the
wind takes away. These are the words
that caress souls, and in dark
nights, ignite the fire.

In 1999, during its Thirtieth General Conference in Paris, UNESCO adopted for the first time March 21, the day of the spring solstice, as World Poetry Day to commemorate humanity’s purest and most generous form of artistic expression. Following the lines drawn by UNESCO to celebrate on that day peoples’ linguistic and cultural diversity through poetic expression, honor the men and women who dedicate themselves to it, and promote the oral traditions of poetry recitals in the world, Teatro de la Luna’s Poetry Marathon in Washington, DC joins the Artevivo Festival of the city of Santiago, in the Dominican Republic, a festival of all the arts, including poetry, to invite all the festivals of the continent and the world to join in solidary brotherhood and sisterhood to read poems for 24 hours without interruption, from 12 midnight of March 21 to 12 midnight of March 22.

The moment has come to say farewell to 2023 and wish the best for the year to come. Our 2023-2024 Season
"Yesterday, Today ...and Always" is halfway through and from January through June we will double our efforts to successfully close it on a high note.
We, as you, have gone through this year enjoying live theatre once again and being able to embrace each other, all the while maintaining the living flame of the arts.
Today we are busy with projects, always bringing you joy and enrichment through the Acting and play reading workshops, the bilingual children’s workshops, the plays for children and adults, other presentations and musical events.
Teatro de la Luna is eternally grateful for all the support we have received and hope, once again that we may count on your valuable contributions that allow us to fulfill our dreams and yours. All donations are tax-deductible.

We are turning 32 years old, completing 32 seasons, enriching our Latino community’s artistic experiences, sharing them with our non-Latino friends, who appreciate and enjoy our culture.
In this season, we returned once again to entertaining over 10,000 children and teens, offering bilingual theatre, workshops, artistic festivals; and for adults we have sponsored a variety of poetic interpretation workshops and presentations; as well as various musical events -tango, ballads, latin rhythms- and closing the season on a high note by re-opening our Casa de la Luna for live theatre performances, just like before...
Now, as we embrace a new season, we invite you to continue with us, enjoying the best of us... that which fills us with pride and feeds our souls, our artistic passion!
