Acting Workshops

Visceral

Theatre

Instructor

Juana Estrella

Cuenca, Ecuador

With the objective of establishing a direct conection between mind-body. By way of different exercises, various therapies and theatrical games, there will be a discovery of those blocked centers of energy. Theatre used as a healing tool will awaken dormant areas and reconnect those lucid centers awakening movement and neutral emotions, as well as revitalizing the energy. “Acting and playing have rechanneled my energy... that is the leitmotiv”.

Today we have before us history’s three best-known and/or most famous Joans: Joan of Arc, Joanna the Mad of Castile and Pope Joan. These three important historical figures will be portrayed in a serious and praiseworthy piece of work by our own present-day Joan - "Star Joan" – who with her immense and wild sense of humor will demonstrate for us in true comedic fashion that she’s not Joanna the Mad, but "THAT CRAZY JOAN."
