We produce at least two full-length adult or family
oriented plays annually, which are generally performed at the Gunston Arts Center, 2700 South Lang Street, Arlington, Virginia and are usually cast with local Hispanic
actors. (see Past
Productions)
These are directed either by our Artistic Director,
Mario Marcel or a guest director. English translation is available at
all Spanish-language performances.
Each Friday evening performance is followed by an
after-show discussion between the director and/or an invited moderator and the audience.
Noche de Luna performances are the first Saturday of
each production.
Lunes de Luna Playreading Series
We offer a monthly series of playreadings. Each
reading is presented in Spanish by professional actors.
We do not offer simultaneous English interpretation
for this program.
Every public playreading is preceded by a minimum of
three open rehearsal/workshops, which serve as preparation for the performing actors as well as theatrical training in play analysis and character development for
aspiring actors and/or theater devotees.
Actor/Technician Training
We provide ongoing acting workshops in Spanish for
local actors and technicians.
Aspiring actors may participate in the open
rehearsal/workshops for our Lunes de Luna playreading series for a small fee.
Technicians are offered hands-on training during our
productions and our International Festivals of Hispanic Theater.
