Willie Padín began
his love of theater in high school, when he toured his island with a
traveling theater in Fencing and Love and Kidnapping of the
Little Onions. Later he took acting classes at the
University of
Puerto Rico, acting in
Christopher Columbus. In this area, he has performed with Sterling
Playmakers in the plays Valentine Follies, Ten Little Indians,
Comedy of Errors, Shakespeare in the Park (a scene of A
Midsummer Night’s Dream), You Can't Take It with You and
Fiddler on the Roof. At Teatro de la Luna, he has been heard as a live
English dubber, has participated in the playreadings So Late So Soon,
Password and Thoughtless Walking, and received acclaim in the
play Virile Continent. At Gala Theatre he was seen in the children’s
production Seneca, the Library Mouse.
