Arturo
Martínez
was born in Mexico
City, Mexico. In the DC area he has acted in two Teatro de la Luna plays,
The Public and Lorca’s Cottage, and two at GALA, La Chunga
and Gully Below. In Minnesota, Arturo played in Torch Song
Trilogy: Widows and Children First, Proper Presentations, and
Fuente Ovejuna at the Janet Wallace Theatre. He has been seen in
national TV ads and has worked as an extra in such films as John Water’s
Pecker, Species II and Washington Square. Arturo also had
a lead in an independent short titled Oblivion, for which he received
acclaim. After a long absence, Arturo returns to Teatro de la Luna. He has
recently taken part in the musical Once Upon a Mattress at Thomas
Jefferson Theatre, presented by The Arlington Players.
