About the play
You will recognize yourself – and many others who are far from
here. Far from their true selves. You will be part of the parade of immigrants
living in an exile that hides thousands of faces: an exile that is forced,
planned, hidden? – Far from here is a return to that ideal place, a place that
perhaps no longer exits.
About the authors
Roberto Cossa (b. 1934) and Maricio Kartun (b. 1946) play an
integral role in contemporary Argentine theater. Both men, considered “masters”

Kartun, is the most well-known of those playwrights who premiered
their work in the ‘70’s and the consolidated it in the ‘80’s. Later he published
what he himself referred to as works of “dramatic urgency”. Civilization… or
Barbarism? (1972) and Hunger Feeds Everything (1978), which were later compiled
